The aim of Didactics of Mathematics is to provide fundamental contributions concerning the process of learning and teaching of mathematics. There is a wide variety of them: developing new contexts for teaching, questions of teaching methods, research on teaching in practice, etc. The related results should be communicated to the teachers in schools in a comprehensible and convincing way (in service teacher training, talks, text books, etc.) so that the implementation into the practice of mathematics education is well provided.
